Who pays for therapy?
I treat people with statutory and private health insurance.
Whether your health insurance covers the costs is checked individually. Feel free to ask me about it.
By type of insurance
Statutory health insurance
Treatment is possible. We will clarify cost coverage with your health insurer together.
Private health insurance
Treatment is possible. Whether and to what extent costs are covered depends on your policy and is checked individually.
Good to know
Up to age 21
Statutory health insurance usually covers treatment by child and adolescent psychotherapists up to the age of 21. In exceptional cases, therapy that has already started can be completed after that.
Coaching
Alongside psychotherapy I also offer coaching. Coaching is not covered by health insurance, so you pay the costs yourself. We are happy to discuss the terms in person.
ICD code
Invoices, reports and sick notes usually state diagnoses as an ICD code, for example F93. You can look up what a code means here.
Forgot your health insurance card?
Request a replacement certificate directly in your health insurance app.
If you do not have your insurance card with you, you can request an electronic replacement certificate (eEB) in your statutory health insurer’s app. The insurer sends it to the practice via the secure health network (KIM), usually within a few minutes.
How it works
- Open the link on your smartphone or scan the QR code.
- Choose your health insurer. Its app opens.
- Confirm the request in the app. The practice’s address is already filled in.
Request replacement certificate (external gematik page, in German)
Private insurance: this only works if your insurer’s app offers “Online-Check-in”.
The link leads to praxis-check-in.de, a page run by gematik, and from there into your insurer’s app. This website does not transfer any of your data.
On a computer? Scan the code with your smartphone camera.
The practice’s KIM address, if your app asks for it:
